My Teacher Told Me I Can’t Talk About Jesus – How Should I Respond?

While most conversations about our faith and Christian worldview should remain positive, we can almost expect to be challenged for our Christian beliefs in today’s culture and our schools. It is important when faced with these challenges to remain respectful and loving – while at the same time being confident and bold in spreading God’s truth and love.

Remember that – whether it’s on Day of Dialogue or another discussion you’re having with classmates – our goal should be to show the love of Christ rather than winning arguments! Our actions will often speak louder than our words. A good verse to keep in mind is 1 Peter 3:15 –

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect …
